Volkswagen Adds Tiguan Allspace Life Variant; Priced At RM173k
Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has added another locally assembled variant to its Tiguan Allspace line-up, making it a total of 3 variants to pick from. The Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Life joins the Tiguan Allspace Elegance and Tiguan Allspace R-Line. With a retail price of RM172,990, the Life variant will slot in below the Elegance (RM179,990).
Despite being the entry-level model of the series, the Life is still packed with the right features to make it a modern SUV. The Tiguan Allspace Life shares the same sharp and dynamic look as its siblings, including a sleeker front grille with the signature Volkswagen illuminated light strip between the full LED headlamps. Other elements include the ‘Allspace’ trims, silver-painted side mirrors, and 18” Frankfurt alloy wheels.
Both the headlamps and tail lamps are LED units, and for added safety, the headlamps include an all-weather light system and dynamic cornering light for improved visibility. Meanwhile, the tail lamps have a distinctive lighting signature that has a ‘click-clack effect’ when the brakes are applied.
Similar to the Elegance, the Life is powered by a 1.4L TSI turbocharged engine that is paired with a 6-speed DSG. This engine produces 150 PS and 250Nm of torque for a pleasurable yet frugal driving experience. The Tiguan has a claimed fuel consumption of approximately 7.7l/100km.
It physically remains as a 7-seater SUV with a class-leading cargo volume of up to 1,775 litre. The interior of the Life is also cosy and functional like the other Volkswagens. Notable standard equipment available are the 9.2” Discover Pro infotainment system with wireless app connect, navigation system, and voice-control; 3-zone Climatronic air con; and a leather multifunction sports steering wheel.
Safety kit includes 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Brake Assist (BA), Multi-collision brakes, Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS), and Electronic Parking Brake (EPB). Lane Assist and Driver Alert systems are available as well.

The VW Tiguan Allspace Life is available in 5 colours and 2 finishes. Metallic colours are Atlantic Blue, Platinum Grey, and Pyrite Silver; the pearl-effect colours are Deep Black and Oryx White. Pearl-effect colours are available without any additional surcharge.
The Tiguan Allspace also comes with 3 years’ free maintenance package, 5 years’ warranty (unlimited mileage), and 5 years’ roadside assistance.
