112 Lamborghini Owners Gathered To Break Decade-Old Record

Last weekend, 112 Lamborghinis gathered in Kuala Lumpur to break a record set nearly a decade ago at the same venue. Members of the Lamborghini Owners Malaysia (LOM) met up at the open-air car park in front of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Kuala Lumpur to better their first record set in 2013.

The first record-setting attempt was done in conjunction with Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary celebration and saw 77 owners from Malaysia and Singapore gather and have their feat entered in the Malaysia Book of Records as the largest gathering of Lamborghinis at an event. Subsequently, Lamborghini Owners Malaysia was officially formed in 2014 with 50 members. Today, it has 150 members.

This year’s record-breaking gathering was not only joined by existing LOM members but also Lamborghini owners who are keen to be part of the expanding club. “This milestone in our club’s history also marks our ode to the legendary Lamborghini brand, which celebrates beauty and performance, infused by an indomitable spirit,” said Roslan Rosdi, President of LOM.

Gathered in KL were vintage and rare Lamborghini models such as the Gallardo Malaysia Limited Edition (only 20 were ever produced) and Murcielago, among the more modern ones such as the Huracan Spyder, Aventador SVJ and Urus SUV.

Fans of the House of the Raging Bull were also treated to a lion dance which commemorated the moment car number 78, driven by the LOM President himself, entered the car park signalling the successful record-breaking feat.Lamborghini Owners Malaysia_LOM_Gathering_Kuala Lumpur

“Our record-breaking achievement would not have been successful without the sense of community showcased by our members who turned up this morning,” said Roslan. Following a quick celebration at the carpark, a convoy of around 112 Lamborghinis were flagged off at about 1:00 PM, departing from the city to Bukit Tinggi where guests were expected to enjoy the glamorous Bulls Ball and a one-night stay at the scenic La Chateau Spa & Wellness Resort.

Lamborghini Owners Malaysia_CommitteeLOM Organising Chairperson, Dato’ Rakesh Sachdev said that in recognition of the historic occasion, a gala dinner dubbed the “Bulls Ball” would be held as a tribute for LOM members. “We had a fantastic turnout today and since this is a rare opportunity for all of us to get together, we are going to celebrate the members who made today happen in true Lamborghini spirit and style,” he said.

The Italian Ambassador, His Excellency Mr. Massimo Rustico, accompanied by Roslan Rosdi and Dato’ Rakesh, flagged off the ‘carcade’ as the drivers headed off to the highlands thus, unofficially creating the longest single line of Lamborghinis in a convoy.
