Bermaz Motor has announced the availability of the 2022 Mazda3, Mazda CX-3 and Mazda CX-30 which are updated with new features and styling.
Mazda had adopted the “less is more” attitude when designing the Mazda3 in line with its ‘Car as Art’ design philosophy, a matured take on its Kodo design. The result was an eyecatching design that creates subtle undulations of light and shadows over the car’s smooth body, crafting a natural and powerful expression of vitality.
Winner of the World Car Design of the Year in 2020, and the Red Dot Design: Best of the Best in 2019, the 2022 Mazda3 1.5L & 2.0L Liftback and Sedan variants have been enhanced with improved connectivity options. Both USBs located at the center console and armrest enable users to connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, to access features via the 8.8″ touchscreen display.
Further, the refreshed Mazda3 for 2022 gets additional upgrades to its technology and styling. The “Ignite Edition” is only available on the 2.0 Liftback variant and features gloss black wing mirrors and 18″ black metallic alloy wheels as standard. Meanwhile, the interior has leather upholstery in burgundy. The car also gets a 360º view monitor shown on the 8.8″ display.
The Mazda 3 “Ignite Edition” is also equipped with the latest i-Activsense safety features which include Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA), Driver Attention Alert (DAA) with Driver Monitoring and Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS).
It is available in Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Jet Black, Snowflake White Pearl, Polymetal Gray, Deep Crystal Blue (Liftback Only) and the newly added Platinum Quartz. Sold as a fully imported unit from Japan, the 2022 Mazda3 is available with 2 engine choices i.e. SKYACTIV-G 1.5L & 2.0L. Retail price starts from RM138,660, inclusive of the 50% Sales Tax Reduction (SST) on CBU models (valid till 30 June 2022).
2022 Mazda CX-3

Retail price starts from RM131,929, inclusive of the 50% Sales Tax Reduction (SST) on CBU models (valid from till 30 June 2022).
2022 Mazda CX-30
Like the other 2022 models, the CX-30 variants also get connectivity improvements. Both the USB ports at the center console and armrest now can connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, like the Mazda3.
The 2 new “Ignite Edition” variants added come in 2WD and AWD options. The 2 new variants feature black auto-folding wing mirrors in black and 18” alloy wheels for that sporty look. The seats are burgundy-coloured leather, while the interior trim is black. There is also a 360º view monitor to make manoeuvring easier.
The Mazda CX-30 was awarded a 5-Star Euro NCAP rating in 2019 and was one of the models to score the highest-ever mark in the adult occupancy category. The Mazda CX-30 also performed impressively in 3 other categories i.e. Child Occupant, Vulnerable Road User (pedestrian safety) and Safety Assist. The rating is a result of 3 key factors: the very latest Skyactiv-Vehicle Architecture, which features a high-rigidity, impact-absorbing yet lightweight bodyshell; high standards of pedestrian protection performance; and a wide range of advanced i-Activsense safety technologies that reduce the likelihood of damage or injury.
The Mazda CX-30 retains all the Mazda i-Activsense features in the High spec variants and above. The Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA), Driver Attention Alert (DAA) with Driver Monitoring and Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS) have also been added to the “Ignite Edition”.
The colours available are Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Snowflake White Pearl, Jet Black, Deep Crystal Blue, Polymetal Gray, and Platinum Quartz. The 2022 Mazda CX-30 is CBU from Japan and retails from RM145,759 which includes the 50% Sales Tax Reduction (SST) on CBU models (valid till 30 June 2022).
