Scania is on a mission to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system through sustainable partnerships, and create a world of mobility that is better for business, society and the environment. By starting to deliver Euro V vehicles, it is contributing to the creation of a healthier environment in Malaysia.

A key feature in this Scania NTG Euro V R620A6X4NZ, besides its other innovative technologies, is the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system that reduces local emissions that contribute to smog and haze. Further, Extra High-Pressure Injection (XPI) enhances performance and fuel economy. Committing to the EU emission standard, local emissions are measured in Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), a toxic gas, and particulate matter (PM).

The adjustable and comfortable driver’s seat has been re-positioned closer to the door for better ergonomics and driving visibility. This is complemented by a an ergonomic dashboard that is set lower as well as a large windscreen and optimised A-pillar design. These features allow better visibility from the different angles for the drivers, making it easier for them to operate safely.

Notable safety features include the Electronic Braking System (EBS) for responsive emergency braking, while the retarder provides additional braking power. Additionally, the standard Opticruise gearbox gives the Scania NTG Euro V a pre-set default Economy mode for improved fuel efficiency.

This Scania R-series sleeper cab that was specified by Xin Hwa comes with normal roof height and with a spacious driver area, enabling for an optimum driving position. It has ample space for storage and installing extra equipment in the cab and can be equipped with up to 2 beds.

“This Scania New Truck Generation Euro V was specified for Xin Hwa as it has the power and torque that is needed by their operations. We went further by recommending to lower local emissions too by using Euro V,” said Thor Brenden, Services Director of Scania Southeast Asia. “And, with Scania Financial Services, Xin Hwa will also benefit from the flexible financing solutions by Scania Credit Malaysia providing it with predictable cost over the entire lifecycle of the truck”.
