Honda HR-V Sport Hybrid Gets Enhancements

Honda Malaysia has officially introduced the enhanced Honda HR-V Sport Hybrid. The refresh for this popular compact SUV sees the inclusion of LED headlights, LED guide tail lights, and LED front fog lights, as well as chrome door handles.

Inside, the HR-V Sport Hybrid gets a 7” Display Audio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto* connectivity, 2 USB ports for extra convenience, and a 3-spoke combination leather steering wheel.

The HR-V Sport Hybrid is fitted with 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine with Direct Injection and paired with a 7-Speed i-DCD Dual-Clutch Transmission and Integrated High Power Motor. Assisted by the High-Power Lithium-Ion Battery, the combined output of the powertrain is equal to the performance of a 2.0L engine, offering quick acceleration response and exhilarating driving feel. Standard safety features include 6 airbags, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Automatic Brake Hold (ABH), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Rear Seat ISOFIX.

The HR-V received received a facelift in 2019 and continued to be popular, contributing 18% to Honda Malaysia’s total sales. In the first 7 months of 2021, it was the 2nd best-selling Honda model, and continues to lead the local Non-National Compact SUV segment with 71% market share (June 2021).

The Honda HR-V Sport Hybrid i-DCD is available in Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic and Modern Steel Metallic in the hybrid range colour line-up. The retail price is RM113,954.82 (on-the-road, without insurance)**. The Sales Tax exemption will end on 31 December 2021.
