GoCar Subscription Service Revamped And Expanded

The leading on-demand car-sharing service in Malaysia, GoCar, has revamped and expanded its car subscription programme. Now called GoCar Subs, this service aims to offer customers an affordable and flexible alternative to conventional car ownership.

With the revamp, GoCar Subs has extended its fleet of vehicle options i.e. sedans, crossover SUVs, MPVs, and pick-up trucks. It has also opened up its fleet portfolio to include local, Japanese and continental makes such as Perodua, Proton, Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen and Renault.

All vehicles in its fleet are independently inspected to ensure they are in good condition and meet the standards that customers are looking for.

Subscription plan options now include weekly, monthly, 12-monthly, 24-monthly or 36-monthly duration. Naturally, the longer the contract period, the more affordable the costs. All fees include comprehensive insurance, road tax, regular servicing and maintenance, and independently rated car inspection. Since this is a subscription programme, GoCar Subs customers also need not worry about hefty down payments, loan interest rates, vehicle depreciation or being locked-in to a long-term loan commitment.

Furthermore, GoCar Subs has launched a free-consultation module, where you have the option of selling your car to GoCar Subs. This will allow you to have up to six months* of subscription fees paid for through the trade-in. Moreover, you have the option to select from the cars available in GoCar Subs garage, or even choose to subscribe to your own ex-car. The best part of this arrangement is that you have the flexibility in cancelling your subscription at any time.

This effectively frees you from long-term loans, interest fees and the worry of vehicle depreciation. According to the statistics provided by the Department of Statistics Malaysia, car loans are one of the main causes of bankruptcy in Malaysia.

With GoCar Subs, you will have the freedom and flexibility and none of the worries of ownership, as the subscription fee is not reflected in CCRIS. Additionally, GoCar Subs offers you the freedom of access to an affordable vehicle without having to commit for long periods.

Additionally, through the GoCar Subs website (www.gocarsubs.com), you can register for a new subscription account, select your vehicle and subscription plan, complete the subscription process, track your subscription status online and manage your subscription payments. All applications will be processed within 24 hours. Once approved, you will receive your car and start your subscription within 14 days.

For added convenience and safety, GoCar Subs is also offering door-to-door service for vehicle delivery as well as maintenance pick-up and return. This is a free service available to subscribers within the Klang Valley who subscribe for plans 12 months and longer. You can be assured that all vehicles will be sanitised before they are returned.

Another new feature with GoCar Subs is the option for add-ons. The costs for add-on options can be amortised across your subscription for added convenience. Current offerings available include Singapore access for RM8 monthly (extended insurance coverage included), tinting from RM28 monthly and full accident protection for RM99 monthly (no excess fees will be charged in the event of an accident).

GoCar Subs is open to all Malaysian citizens and residents (international driving licenses are accepted). To subscribe, you only need to submit a copy of your driving license, identity card or passport, three-month payslip, EPF statement and three-month bank statement.

For a limited time, those who subscribe to the 12-month, 24-month and 36-month plans and make payment by 31 August 2020 will be entitled to a 50% fee reduction for the first three months.
