More Powerful Jaguar F-PACE With Ingenium Engine Available In Limited Numbers

Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia is offering the Jaguar F-PACE in limited numbers. The limited edition F-PACE comes with the new 2.0L Ingenium turbo petrol engine. There are three variants available i.e. F-PACE Prestige (base), R-Sport (Mid-Spec) and R-Sport (Hi-Spec). And there are only 20 units available for sale.

The F-PACE is Jaguar’s best-selling performance SUV. The new Ingenium engine happens to be Jaguar’s most powerful 2.0L engine in production. The engine incorporates advanced technology with an all-aluminium construction to provide a balance of power and fuel economy. This turbocharged engine puts out 300 PS @ 5,500 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,500 rpm to 4,500 rpm. It is paired with an 8-speed ZF 8HP45 automatic transmission that is smooth and responsive on the shifts. Official figures put 0 – 100 km/h at 6.1 seconds, and top speed at 233 km/h (on 22” wheels).

The engine features a twin-scroll turbocharger that is fed by an integrated exhaust manifold that synchronises exhaust pulses from two separate pairs of cylinders. This results in significantly reduced turbo lag and improved engine response. Included too is a state-of-the-art pendulum damper in the torque  converter that effectively absorbs low frequency vibrations. This results in a refined feel of the engine at lower speeds.

The all-wheel-drive F-PACE is also equipped with Configurable and Adaptive Dynamics settings. The Configurable Dynamics mode is standard on the R-Sport variants and allows you to choose between ‘Normal’ and ‘Sports’ settings for throttle response, gearbox and steering. Meanwhile, Adaptive Dynamics is only available in the R-Sport (Hi-Spec). This setting modifies the damper response to match the different conditions and driving style. The system analyses acceleration, cornering, throttle and brake pedal activity to optimise the suspension settings and maintain the car’s dynamism and comfort.

The limited edition Jaguar F-PACE is built on Jaguar’s Lightweight Aluminium Architecture and is the brand’s first aluminium-intensive model in its class. It is equipped with such features as Gesture tailgate, Lane Keep Assist, Driver Condition Monitor, 10″ Touch Pro infotainment display, Pro Services and WiFi Hotspot. Further, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity are available for seamless smartphone integration.

The convenient features of the base level Prestige variant include a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, 20″ 5 split-spoke ‘Style 5031’ with Grey Diamond Turned finish alloy wheels, Rear Seat Remote Release Levers and Power Reclining Rear Seat.

The R-Sport (Mid-Spec) variant adds Adaptive LED Headlamps, Signature Daytime Running Lights (DRL), Auto High Beam Assist (AHBA), Ambient Interior Lighting and Gloss Black Roof Rails.

Exclusive to the R-Sport (Hi-Spec) are the 22″ wheels and Adaptive Surface Response (AdsR). AdsR recognises differences between surfaces to enable the system to exploit available grip by adjusting engine and brake power. The AdSR operates throughout the vehicle’s speed range and allows for finer optimisation of the vehicle’s systems to make the most of the available traction.

Jaguar F-PACE Prestige, R-Sport (Mid- Spec) and R-Sport (Hi-Spec) have retail prices of RM436,420.82, RM470,212.97 and RM485,433.81 respectively (for Peninsular Malaysia, excluding road tax and insurance, and including 50% sales tax exemption until 31 December 2020). All Jaguar vehicles distributed by authorised dealers come with a ‘Jaguar Care’ programme which includes a five-year warranty, five years’ free service and three years’ roadside assistance.

There are six exterior colour options available i.e. Fuji White, Santorini Black, Eiger Grey, Portofino Blue, Firenze Red and Indus Silver.
