BMW Motorrad Malaysia Updates Its Warranty Coverage Programmes

BMW Motorrad Malaysia has updated its warranty coverage programmes for a more complete premium ownership experience. This involves extended warranty coverage programmes for authorised BMW motorcycles, as well as a 5-year warranty extension for BMW Helmets.

In doing so, we at BMW Motorrad Malaysia are ensuring that riders received the complete premium ownership experience, tailoring our premium services to fit every situation and need, especially the times we are in. We are excited to welcome our motorcycle enthusiasts back on the road with a special range of programmes for warranty, batteries and helmets,” said Owen Riley, Head of BMW Motorrad Malaysia.

For all authorised BMW motorcycles, BMW Motorrad Malaysia is extending its warranty coverage until 1 July 2020 for motorcycles that had warranties expire during the MCO period i.e. between 18 March and 1 June 2020. The warranty extension also applies for parts. All warranty terms and conditions remain unchanged.

BMW Motorrad WIPFor Motorrad owners who may have battery issues as a result of the MCO period, BMW Motorrad Malaysia also announced a special campaign to offer customers a revised price range for selected BMW Motorcycle batteries and battery chargers. This campaign runs until 10 July 2020.




Furthermore, the existing two-year warranty for ALL helmets in the BMW Motorrad product range has been extended to five years. The start of validity of the warranty extension is retroactively set to 1 January 2020.

BMW HelmetThe five-year warranty for BMW helmets applies to material and manufacturing defects of the product. The BMW Motorrad warranty extension for helmets EXCLUDES the BMW Motorrad communication systems, damage caused by an accident, improper treatment, and inappropriate installation of third party equipment systems and accessories. Additionally, usual wear and tear, scratches on visor, sun visor, helmet shell or plastic parts are also not covered by the warranty.
