The Updated 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor Is Available In Malaysia

Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, has announced the availability of the updated 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor.

Featuring an added safety pack and additional features, the new Ford Ranger Raptor continues to be Malaysia’s first and only premium performance pick-up truck. The updated truck is now equipped with additional intelligent advanced driver-assist features such as:

• First in-class Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with Vehicle and Pedestrian Detection designed to detect pedestrians as well as vehicles in front of the truck and alert drivers with an audible warning. If drivers fail to react, the system automatically applies the brakes to help mitigate potential rear-end collisions and road-traffic collisions with pedestrian.
• First in-class Forward Collision Warning, which detects a potential collision triggering an audible warning to drivers. The system also automatically pre-charges and increases brake assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when drivers apply the brakes.
• First in-class Lane Departure Warning and Assist. The system vibrates the steering wheel to alert drivers when they unintentionally move out of their lane, while Lane Keeping Aid helps steer the vehicle back on track if drivers do not react.

Further, other upgrades packed into the new Ranger Raptor include an additional USB charging port on the rear view mirror as well as LED projector headlamps for greater visibility while driving at night.

The 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor remains the same mechanically, utilising a 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel engine which is paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain delivers 213 PS and 500 Nm of torque.

Other notable features of the Ranger Raptor include the FOX Racing Shox dampers, its class-leading 850 mm water wading capability, and a Terrain Management System (TMS) that offers six modes, including the Baja Mode to deliver high performance off-roading. The Ford Ranger Raptor is calibrated for high performance, and push the limits in technology, innovation and driving excitement.

The 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor is priced from RM208,888 (on-the-road, without insurance) and is available in four colours i.e. Ford Performance Blue, Conquer Grey, Absolute Black and Arctic White.
