Hankook Tire Malaysia Launches New Ventus Prime 3 Ultra High Performance Tyre

Hankook Tire recently launched the Ventus Prime 3 (K125), its latest ultra high performance (UHP) tyre for passenger cars that delivers a balance of driving and braking performance, comfort and safety. Considered a summer tyre, the Ventus Prime 3 is deemed suitable for Malaysia’s hot and wet weather; it features four wide channel grooves for performance in the wet.

Its new design is also optimised for specific grooves by position, minimizing the trade-off between dry and wet performance. The optimised design with enhanced tread block stiffness provides improved handling and braking performance on dry surfaces as well. Further, the new main groove positioning minimises the tread pattern noise even after a period of wear. Meanwhile, the high-grip silica compound allows for improved dry and wet traction as well as lower rolling resistance.

The Ventus Prime 3 has been recognised with several renowned awards. Acknowledged for its superb braking performance, precise steering behavior, and pleasant ride comfort, the Ventus Prime 3 bagged first place in the 2018 summer tyre test by Auto Bild, Germany’s leading automobile consumer magazine. The tyre has also been awarded the top overall mark “Good” by the German Automobile Club ADAC in the 2018 summer tyre test. Additionally, it was given the Red Dot Award for Product Design 2016 for its design quality.

In 2018, the Ventus Prime 3 was also selected as the original equipment tyre for the all-new Ford Focus Active and Citroën C3 Aircross.

The available sizes of the Ventus Prime 3 are 15″ – 18″ for passenger cars, and 18″ – 19″ for SUVs. Retail prices start from RM180.
