The Nissan X-Trail facelift is now open for booking, pending its official launch in April 2019, at any authorised Nissan showroom. Four variants will be made available i.e. 2.0L 2WD; 2.0L 2WD MID; 2.5L 4WD and a new 2.0L Hybrid. The estimated prices are RM139,900, RM149,900, RM159,900 and RM169,900 respectively. The official prices will be confirmed at a later date. All variants have EEV (Energy Efficient Vehicle) certification. All are covered with a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty (including hybrid parts and Li-ion battery).
The 2.0L MR20DD engine in the Hybrid variant has Twin CVTC (Continuously Variable-valve Timing Control) engine is paired with the XTRONIC CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) and produces 144 PS and 200 Nm of torque. It also gets an additional 41 PS and 160 Nm from the electric motor that is powered by a Li-ion HEV battery pack. It is claimed to have the best-in-class fuel economy of 16.1 km/L (based on ECE R101 test mode).
The 2.5L engine makes 171 PS and 233 Nm of torque.
Further, three variants (2.0L 2WD MID, 2.5L 4WD and 2.0L Hybrid) of the X-Trail facelift are fitted with Nissan Intelligent Mobility advanced safety technologies to enhance intelligent driving. These include:

Exterior revisions include a new signature ‘V-Motion’ front grille design, revised signature LED Boomerang daytime running lights and headlights, as well as smoked LED Boomerang tail lamps.
Inside, there is a 7” Navi Infotainment System with Apple Carplay™ and Android Auto connectivity, flat-bottom steering wheel with controls, powered front leather seats, leatherette dashboard and knee pads, and a 5” Advanced Drive Assist Display.
Six SRS airbags are now standard on 3 variants of the new X-Trail (the 2.0L 2WD gets four airbags), while other safety features include Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold function, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Traction Control System (TCS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Child Seat Retainer with Top Tether (ISOFIX x2).
There are five exterior colours to choose from: Brilliant White, Tungsten Silver, Titanium Olive, Diamond Black and Imperial Umber (new).
In conjunction with the pre-launch, the new Nissan X-Trail will also come with a 2-year or 40,000 km Periodic Maintenance Service (whichever comes first). Additionally, the first 500 registered vehicles will also receive an exclusive gift worth RM488. Official deliveries are scheduled to start in April 2019.
