The Modenas Pulsar will be featured in a new reality show i.e. the Malaysia edition of Pulsar Dareventure, which will be aired in February. This is based on the Pulsar Dareventure motorcycle reality show by Bajaj of India, and Malaysia is the first Southeast Asian country to host this exhilarating reality show.
This eight-part webseries by Modenas Malaysia will go live on its YouTube channel starting on 8 February 2019. Hosted by Nurul Alis Aidil Akhbar a.k.a. Kiki, it will showcase ten Malaysian contestants that were handpicked to take on the thrills and challenges of a Pulsar NS200 through some amazing and challenging obstacles. The reality show is set to challenge Malaysians and prove their mettle in handling Pulsar motorcycles on an adventure of a lifetime and vie to become Malaysia’s first Pulsar Dareventurer. The grand winner stands a chance to win RM5,000 cash and a brand new Pulsar NS200.
This weekly reality show will feature and highlight key features of the powerful NS200 Pulsar motorcycle. The Pulsar NS200 build quality, durability, manoeuvrability, handling and fun factor has earned it the nickname of “an adrenaline pumping beast”. The sleek muscular tank design, 6-speed gearbox and pressed steel chassis and the powerful engine of the Pulsar NS200 will force the adrenaline of both contestants and viewers to rise and the bike takes on the many obstacles and challenges throughout the competition.
According to Chief Executive Officer of Modenas, Amirudin Hj. Abd Kadir, “We are thrilled to bring the Pulsar Dareventure to Malaysia and provide participants a chance to immerse themselves in a first-of-its-kind unique motorsports experience in Malaysia. As the show has gained good response in other countries, we are confident it will be a hit among Malaysians who have proven to be an adventurous and highly competitive bunch.”
“The Pulsar NS200 is a powerful machine with great engine capability. We strongly believe the Pulsar NS200 will be the perfect ally for our contestants to showcase their skills during the competition,” he added.
The competition is open to all Malaysians, both male and female above 18 years who are physically and mentally fit, and own a B2 or B full license.
Modenas held roadshows in three states i.e. Penang, Selangor and Johor, where the public could audition for a spot in the Pulsar Dareventure Malaysia reality show. One could also vie for a spot by submitting and uploading their own 1 minute audition video to Modenas. In the end, 30 participants were shortlisted from these submissions and competed in an obstacle challenge earlier this month to secure their spot in the Top 10 category. The Top 10 contestants will be part in the Pulsar Dareventure Malaysia reality show which begins on 8 February.
