Daihatsu Malaysia Introduces Gran Max Panel Van AT, The First Light Commercial Panel Van With Automatic Transmission
Daihatsu Malaysia has introduced the Gran Max Panel Van (AT), the first light commercial panel van with automatic transmission in Malaysia. According to Daihatsu, renowned for making light commercial vehicles, the new Gran Max Panel Van AT is designed to accommodate the requirements of mobile SME (small &medium entreprises) as well as corporations and government agencies.
The Daihatsu Gran Max panel van is produced in Indonesia by PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (the largest automotive manufacturer in Indonesia with annual production of over 530,000 vehicles). It is powered by a 1.5-litre DOHC DVVT engine with electric fuel injection (EFI), and produces 71 kW and 134 Nm of torque. The power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission. The Gran Max can accommodate up to 2,000 kg of gross weight (with load) and the rear-wheel drive will ensure better traction under load.
A benefit of the rear-wheel drive configuration is the small turning circle of 4.7 metres, making it easier to manoeuvre in narrow city streets. The panel van sits on MacPherson struts in front and 5-link coils in the rear. Brakes are ventilated discs in front and drum in the rear.
Other features include power steering, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), dual front airbags and a rigid monocoque body structure.

The Daihatsu Gran Max Panel Van (AT) is priced from RM69,888 (excluding road tax, registration & insurance, etc) and comes with a 3-year / 100,000 km warranty. The first 100 customers to book by 30 September 2018 will enjoy the early bird promotion of a free 1-year service maintenance package.
Daihatsu Malaysia also offers the Daihatsu Mobile Service which performs vehicle servicing (including replacement of timing belt, brake pads, absorbers, etc) at your doorstep at its standard service centre rates.
