Petronas Dagangan Presents Extended Breakfast Menu; Mesra Bites From RM3

Petronas Dagangan Berhad (PDB) has expanded its Mornings@Mesra breakfast combo, at its Kedai Mesra convenience stores, to include Mesra Bites, a new range of buns, comprising Cheese Stick, Sambal Ikan Bilis, Sambal Udang and Kaya.

Additionally, the Mornings@Mesra breakfast combo come in three menu options i.e. Big Bites, Light Bites and Happy Bites, catering to heavy and light eaters, and children.

The Big Bites menu gives a choice of local favorites like nasi lemak, mihun goreng, mi goreng, kuih and a choice of either a hot coffee, Nescafe canned drink, or Milo, for a price of RM5.

Those who prefer something lighter and healthier can opt for either the Light or Happy Bites which offer a choice of any Mesra Bites buns and a beverage, priced from RM3. The beverage options include a hot coffee or Nescafe canned drink, while the Happy Bites Menu offers chocolate-flavoured Goodday Charge.

The Mornings@Mesra breakfast combo is available at nearly 450 Petronas stations, whereas the Mesra Bites range of buns is available at all Petronas stations with Kedai Mesra, in Peninsular Malaysia.

PDB’s Head of Retail Business, Aadrin Azly said, “When we launched Mornings@Mesra in 2017, the response was very positive, where we recorded about 27% increase in food sales last year. Due to the overwhelming demand, we have decided to expand our breakfast combo to offer more varieties for everyone, including something that kids will enjoy.”

“The Happy Bites is especially customised for the kids as we want to advocate the importance of having regular breakfast so they can have an energetic start to their day, be healthy and happy. For example, we make sure that our buns are zero trans-fat. We believe healthy habits should be instilled at a young age so that these habits can stay with them into adulthood,” he added.

All Mornings@Mesra items are supplied by trusted vendors that PDB has carefully selected to ensure quality for its customers. Through this, PDB is also directly assisting local SMEs and vendors to expand their businesses at Petronas stations and improve their source of income, as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.

Aadrin added, “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but we tend to skip it as we go through the morning rush hour. Through Mornings@Mesra, we offer quick affordable breakfast solutions so that people on-the- go can conveniently grab our combos.”
