Aston Martin DB11 V8 Launched In Malaysia
A new member of the iconic British luxury sports car brand, Aston Martin, is in town. The Aston Martin DB11 V8 was recently unveiled by Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur. The DB11 V8 is the 4.0L twin turbo version that will partner the existing 5.2L twin turbo V12 in the line-up, and continue to showcase the model’s sporting character and appeal, with improved efficiency.
The 4.0L V8 comes courtesy of Mercedes-AMG, which supplies the British brand with electrical systems and engines. The V8 engine puts out 530 bhp and 675 Nm via an 8-speed automatic gearbox to the rear wheels and carries the DB11 V8 from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds, just fractionally slower than its V12 sibling. This is largely due to the weight savings afforded by the smaller V8 engine layout (approximately 115 kg lighter).
Physically, the DB11 V8 retains its beautiful and distinctive styling, from the characteristic front grille, to the clamshell bonnet, to the aerodynamic Aeroblade channel, as well as the wing mirror arms that act like, well… wings.
Inside, the DB11 V8 has a 12″ colour LCD instrument display as well as an 8″ screen accessible with the Mercedes-Benz-sourced COMAND infotainment system.

Also announced at the DB11 V8 launch is the new home of the Aston Martin Service Centre by Wearnes Quest. The new service centre is located in Lingui Industrial Park, Sungai Buloh and boasts a fully air-conditioned 4,000 square feet facility, which has 3 work bays and 1 diagnostic bay.
