Hyundai Get Two Editors’ Choice Awards From Car And Driver

The 2018 Hyundai Ioniq and Accent have been named Car And Driver’s Editors’ Choice in the Hybrid and Subcompact categories respectively.

The Ioniq was given the award based on its class-leading efficiency from its choice of powertrains i.e. electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid. Meanwhile, the Accent received accolades for its fuel economy and design. Both vehicles feature dynamic design elements and an available suite of safety and infotainment features that highlight Hyundai’s commitment to a great driving and ownership experience for its customers.

“Car and Driver is one of the most trusted names in automotive journalism and we’re honored to have the Ioniq and Accent included in their Editor’s Choice picks,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president, Product, Corporate and Digital Planning, Hyundai Motor America.

“As we continue to push the limit for driver experience and value, this recognition is a good reminder that we are changing what matters for our customers,” he added.

Car and Driver tests and reviews hundreds of vehicles annually and its Editors’ Choice awards are given to the best vehicle in each class. Results of their Buyer’s Guide in-depth testing, track performance, and value, are taken into consideration when choosing the segment best.
