Grab Malaysia Recognises Its Unsung Heroes
Grab Malaysia took time off to recognise its outstanding driver-partners for their dedication in 2017. Sean Goh, Country Head of Grab Malaysia, presented the awards and applauded all drivers for their passion and commitment. “On behalf of all of us at Grab, we are so proud to call you our driver-partners and for the way you continuously out-serve your passengers. Grab would not be Malaysia’s preferred ride hailing service without your hard and heart-work,” said Goh to all the drivers. He also reiterated the company’s commitment to keep improving and serving their driver-partners.
Some of the categories that were recognised were the ‘Go Beyond’ Award which was presented to Grace Nesamani for going above and beyond her call of duty and helping to deliver Grab’s first ‘GrabBaby'; the ‘Rising Star’ Award went to Muhammad Shahraien who joined last year but received the most number of 5-star rated rides; and also the ‘Lifetime’ Award for the longest service which went to Ranjit Singh who has been a Grab driver since 2014.
The award presentation was done during Grab Malaysia’s inaugural Chinese New Year Open House to share the Chinese New Year spirit with its driver-partners. Almost a thousand driver-partners, together with their families from all over Klang Valley joined Grab staff and partners in celebration.
Lucky drivers also got the chance to go home with lucky draw prizes worth more than RM50,000 courtesy of Grab and sponsors like Honor Malaysia, Lourdes Medical Services, Precise Rehab, Maxx ‘N Go and Traveloka.
Additionally, drivers and their families had their eyes and blood checked and were able to obtain a BMI reading by Lourdes Medical Services, and learnt more about their posture and simple exercises to improve their spinal alignment by Precise Rehab and District 13. They also purchased healthy granola from Kettle Bowl and kids were entertained by getting their face painted and drawn by a caricaturist.
