Malaysia Is First In ASEAN To Get New Porsche 911 GT3

Malaysia is the first market in ASEAN to have the new Porsche 911 GT3. Replacing the previous 3.8L engine is a 4.0L flat-six engine that’s capable of 500 hp and 460 Nm of torque. This allows the 911 GT3 to go from zero to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds (with the 7-speed dual clutch PDK); it’s 3.9 seconds with the 6-spPorsche 911 GT3 Launch, Arnt Bayer, Sime Darby Auto Performance, Malaysia 2017eed manual transmission. Top speed of the car is 318 km/h (320 km/h if you decide on the manual gearbox).

The manual gearbox is 17 kg lighter and features and auto blip function and mechanical rear differential lock; the PDK has an electronically controlled differential lock and shifts faster, so it’s a matter of personal preference.

Developed on the same test track, and manufactured on the same line, as Porsche’s race cars, the 911 GT3 also benefits from Porsche’s motorsport technologies. This road-legal sports car gets a redesigned chassis with rear-axle steering, dynamic engine mounts, adjustable dampers, and lightweight construction for improved driving dynamics. This 2-seater is also 25 mm lower than the 911 Carrera S.

Porsche 911 GT3 Rear Wing Malaysia LaunchThe large carbon rear wing is now 20 mm higher and dominates the rear, setting the car apart from the other 911s. Look past the wing and you’ll notice the large ram air ducts and independent central air outlet on the engine cover, and new diffuser. The front of the car has the current 4-point LED headlights and sports large air intakes, lateral air blades and spoiler lip for improved downforce. Speaking of downforce, the 911 GT3 has 20% more of it yet retains its cd (coefficient of drag) value, which means it is still as aerodynamic but has more cornering stability.

You can also opt for the adaptive Sports Seat Plus with 18-way powered adjustment, sports bucket seats with folding backrest, or full bucket seats made of light carbon fiber reinforced plastic in carbon weave finish.

In addition to the Porsche Communication Management system with navigation and real-time traffic are Connect Plus (Apple CarPlay compatible) and the Track Precision app which allows you to display, record and analyze the driving data on your smartphone.

The Porsche 911 GT3 retails from RM 1,700,000 (inclusive of duties but without registration, insurance and road tax). The car shown here is customized according to a customer’s preference.
