Perodua Helps Out Children’s Home In Penang With 3-Year Commitment

It’s never easy to run a welfare home but for the people responsible for Shan Children’s Home in Prai, Penang (as well as the children there), who have to rely on public donations and support to stay afloat, having a corporate sponsor, like Perodua, commit to a multi-year support in the form of goods, cash and motivational activities, is most welcomed.  Perodua has committed to a 3-year Corporate Responsibility program with Shan Children’s Home, which is home to 19 children aged between 6 and 18.

Before the Deepavali holiday, Perodua, in a simple ceremony, contributed over RM 20,000 in the form of goods and cash to the children’s home.

Perodua Shan Children's Home Program 2017“We are supportive of good people such Madam Saras Pillay, who have dedicated their live for the well-being of others, they are the true heroes of our society,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Datuk (Dr) Aminar Rashid Salleh said. “This is the first time that Perodua is contributing to a non-government organization in sustainable way as we believe that our contribution should have a longer impact to those assist.”

“In this way, these contribution will have a deeper impact to children as we truly care about all communities that exist in this wonderful country of ours,” Datuk Dr. Aminar said.
