The Borneo International H.O.G. Rally Malaysia 2017 Signs On Fuel & Logistics Partners

H.O.G.® is the acronym for the Harley Owners Group, and the H.O.G. Kuala Lumpur Chapter, Malaysia (H.O.G. KLCM) has announced a partnership with PETRONAS as the Official Fuel Partner, and Malaysia Airlines Bhd Kargo (MASkargo) as the Official Logistic Partner for the Borneo International H.O.G.® Rally Malaysia (BIHRM) 2017 rally. PETRONAS will supply fuel to the convoy for the entire journey while MASkargo will provide rapid air freight to transport the motorcycles to Kota Kinabalu, and from Kuching at the end of the rally. This rally will be held from 30 September to 9 October 2017, and is an epic 1,450 km ride from Kota Kinabalu to Labuan, down to Brunei, Miri, Bintulu, Sibu and finally Kuching, Sarawak.

The BIHRM 2017 will be gathering Harley-Davidson owners and enthusiasts from around the world for this epic journey to experience the beauty and the culture of Borneo. Along the way, the rally will visit several locations where PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad will hold its ‘Water for Life’ program to provide local community access to clean water supply and its ‘Streetsmart’ program to educate the public on basic road safety.

“Organizing this Borneo International H.O.G.® Rally Malaysia (BIHRM) 2017 is a part of our commitment to the Harley-Davidson brand in providing the Harley-Davidson’s community the ownership experience that Harley-Davidson is known for. We have in fact received an overwhelming response for the rally as there is a large number of Harley-Davidson motorcycle owners and enthusiasts in Borneo not to mention the participation from Harley Owners Group Kuala Lumpur Chapter, Malaysia and International Harley Owners Groups,” said Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Group Executive Chairman of Naza World Group of Companies.

“BIHRM2017 started with an idea to ride from the Kota Kinabalu International Bike Week to the Kuching International Bike Week,” said T.J. Roslan, Director of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.®) Kuala Lumpur Chapter Malaysia. “The idea became into an awesome collaboration with the local H.O.G.® members in Sabah and Sarawak. The result was the making of BIHRM2017.” he added.

Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.®) have been organizing ride activities in Borneo since 2009 and have received overwhelming participation from local and international Harley-Davidson enthusiasts. The Borneo International H.O.G.® Rally Malaysia (BIHRM) 2017 aspires to benefit both Harley-Davidson owners as well as the local tourism industries by making BIHRM 2017 a benchmark to inspire more motorcycling events in Borneo in the future.
