60 Malaysians Celebrate With BHPetrol Merdeka Gold Coins
BHPetrol has presented 60 limited edition 999.9 commemorative gold coins to the 60 lucky winners of the Merdeka Gold Coin Contest, to celebrate Malaysia’s 60th Merdeka Day. The lucky winners hailed from across the nation, from Kedah to Pahang to Johor. This contest was held earlier between May and July, to reward BHPetrol loyal customers.
BHPetrol customers who pumped a minimum RM 30 worth of petrol or Euro5 diesel were given a complimentary box of tissue which contained the contest entry form. According to BHPetrol, over 2 million entries were received, out of which 60 were picked to receive the limited edition gold coin worth RM 4,000. The gold coin is specially embossed with a BHPetrol signature service station on one side, and a mark to celebrate Malaysia’s 60th Merdeka on the other.
The last time BHPetrol had something similar was 10 years ago, for the 50th Merdeka Day celebration. Mr. Tan Kim Thiam, Managing Director of BHPetrol, also announced that the company is interested to purchase one of the 50th Merdeka Day gold coins from the past winners, as it didn’t keep any.
