Petron Malaysia recently organized a “Fuel Happy” road trip for its loyal customers, and members of the media, to try out its “Turbo” Euro 5 diesel. This trip is also in conjunction with Petron Malaysia’s 5th anniversary.

The road trip convoy comprised mainly of Mitsubishi Triton, Isuzu D-Max and Chevrolet Colorado pick-up trucks fueled with Turbo. Petrol-powered cars weren’t left out and these were fueled with Petron Blaze. The convoy looked forward to the 500-odd kilometer journey from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Terengganu, which had a brief excursion to the Jerangkang waterfall in Maran, Pahang for lunch. To get to lunch, the pick-up trucks had to traverse some rough and muddy trails.

“We are proud of the results of the Petron Fuel Happy trip, which put to test our cutting edge Turbo Euro 5 diesel. The road trip affirmed the fuel’s premium TriAction Advantage additive formula as it successfully boosted the performance of participating vehicles, giving the drivers and their passengers a satisfying road trip experience,” said Pn Faridah Ali, Head of Retail Business.

Turbo is a Euro 5 grade diesel engineered with a premium additive system to provide improved engine performance for better acceleration and fuel economy while reducing harmful exhaust emissions. It offers more complete combustion for maximum power, cleaner fuel injectors, reduced ignition delay, improved cold start performance as well as better protection against corrosion.

Turbo has a sulfur content of just 10 ppm (parts per million), which is 50 times lower than the Euro 2M diesel (500 ppm) hence it has a cleaner burn.

“Since the roll-out in September 2016, we have received excellent feedback from customers who regularly use Turbo. This product signifies our passion in delivering innovative products for our valued customers, and is now available in 70 stations to meet growing demand. More importantly, it meets the ultra-low sulfur requirements of Euro 5 standards, helping improve air quality in the country,” added Pn Faridah.
