BHPetrol Donates RM100k To The Needy

Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd, which markets the BHPetrol brand of lubricants and fuel, have donated RM 100,000 to various charity organizations as part of their CSR (corporate social responsibility).

This donation drive is BHPetrol’s recent promotion to pledge cash with supporting participation from consumers i.e. every transaction of a minimum RM 30 of BHPetrol fuel received a box of tissue and for each tissue box flap returned to BHPetrol, 5 sen was pledged by the company to charity, up to a total of RM 100,000.

The 10 charity organizations which received equal share of the RM 100,000 are:

1. Rumah Kasih Harmoni, Paya Jaras
2. Rumah Ozanam, Petaling Jaya
3. Persatuan Kebajikan Rumah Kanak-Kanak Triniti, Petaling Jaya
4. Persatuan Bagi Orang Buta Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur
5. Dignity for Children Foundation, Kuala Lumpur
6. Rumah Kasih Nurul Hasanah, Ampang, Kuala Lumpur
7. Pertubuhan Kebajikan Asnaf Al Barakh Malaysia, Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur
8. Persatuan Untuk Orang Kurang Upaya Akal Selangor dan WP, Kuala Lumpur
9. Persatuan Orang Yang Amat Cacat Akal Selangor dan Wilayah Persekutuan, Petaling Jaya
10. Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Malaysia (PEYATIM), Ampang, Kuala Lumpur

“This donation is one of our ways in helping the charitable organizations to cope with the increasing costs in managing the homes and the people under their care. We at BHPetrol are very honored to be part of these initiatives,” said Mr Tan Kim Thiam, Managing Director of BHPetrol.

Mr Tan also commended the efforts of the people behind the charity organizations and pledged that BHPetrol will continue to support and improve the quality of life for the underprivileged.
