Road Closure – Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2016
The Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2016 will be held this Sunday, 7 August and in preparation for this, roads in Kuala Lumpur will be closed in stages from as early as Friday, 5 August. You can refer to the map and list of the road closure locations below for the closure times.
If you do need to use the roads affected then plan it accordingly.
UPDATE:
RapidKL which operates the LRT and Monorail lines will give free rides this Sunday from 2am – 6am for the 2016 Standard Chartered KL Marathon.
The list stations that will be opened are:
- KL Monorail – All 11 stations
- LRT Ampang Line – Ampang, Pandan Indah, Chan Sow Lin;
- LRT Sri Petaling Line – Chan Sow Lin, Bandar Tasik Selatan, Awan Besar, IOI Puchong Besar, Putra Heights, Sentul Timur, Sentul, Titiwangsa, Masjid Jamek, Hang Tuah, Pudu;
- LRT Kelana Jaya Line – Masjid Jamek, Gombak, Wangsa Maju, Setiawangsa, Jelatek, KL Sentral, Taman Jaya, Kelana Jaya, Glenmarie, USJ 21
RapidKL encourages those attending and/or participating in the KL Marathon are encourage to ‘park and ride’. Parking is available at the multi-level parking complex at Ampang, Bandar Tasik Selatan and Gombak LRT stations as well as car parks at Awan Besar, IOI Puchong Jaya, Glenmarie, Kelana Jaya and Putra Heights.
Normal fares will apply after 6am.
