Jaguar XJ Facelift Now In Malaysia
Jaguar Land Rover (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (JLRM) has introduced the facelifted Jaguar XJ full-size feature-packed luxury sedan. The refreshed XJ now has a more dominant and assertive appearance with an imposing new front grille. Its appearance is complimented by the full LED adaptive headlights with ‘Double J’ daytime running lights and eye-catching tail lamps for a sharper, more confident look.
The XJ uses an all-aluminum construction for strength, rigidity and weight-savings, resulting in a more responsive, agile and fuel-efficient car. As a driver, you will appreciate the refreshed XJ’s dynamic character; as a passenger, will enjoy the luxury of its interior space, entertained by a 20-speaker, 825W Meridian Digital Surround Sound System.
Datuk Aishah Ahmad, JLRM Managing Director, said the launch of the new XJ flagship offers Malaysians a completely refreshed range of Jaguar vehicles. “We are pleased to offer the full range of the latest Jaguar models that competes in almost every category of the premium luxury sedan segment in Malaysia. Discerning motorists now have the choice of a luxury car that not only has a rich heritage but offers a first class driving experience,” she said.
JLRM is offering the long wheelbase XJ in three engine options, each paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission with Jaguar Sequential Shift.
The 240 PS 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine variant is priced from RM 645,000; the 340 PS 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol engine starts at RM 830,000 while the 300 PS 3.0-litre V6 turbocharged diesel retails from RM 800,000 (excluding road tax, registration and insurance).
All XJs come with Jaguar Care, which includes a five-year/150,000 km warranty, five-year or 80,000 km (2.0-litre engine) or 65,000 km (3.0-litre engine) servicing and three-year Jaguar Roadside Assistance.
Key features of this new XJ include the unique All Surface Progress Control (ASPC) which is a low speed cruise control that helps the car cope with low traction situations, allowing the driver to just focus on steering the car. This advanced system also features a pull-away function that allows the car to move off from stationary on slippery surfaces and hill descent function that controls vehicle speed on steeper inclines.
The 360° Park Distance Control uses five strategically placed cameras to help you avoid objects around the car. Another feature is the Pedestrian Contact Sensing System that automatically raises the bonnet slightly when it senses a collision with a pedestrian, to reduce impact on the pedestrian by deflecting the impact force.
Further, the XJ has InControl Touch Pro which puts music, video, navigation and all essential in-car controls including Bluetooth connectivity at your fingertips. The new 8″ touchscreen features an Intel Quad Core processor to deliver the great graphics and quick response to smartphone-style swipes and taps. In addition, there is a 12.3″ HD TFT Instrument Panel Display with virtual dials and full-screen 3D Map View to make driving more pleasurable.
