Volkswagen Malaysia has launched the first Volkswagen Cares programme – a series of free car workshops exclusively for Volkswagen owners. The first Volkswagen Cares programme was conducted at Volkswagen Wearnes Sg Besi in Kuala Lumpur, where a total of 12 Volkswagen owners attended the session.
The two-part session consisted of theoretical syllabus covering safety and fuel saving tips, proper child safety steps, handling emergency situations and in-depth explanations of the different features available in Volkswagen cars and how they can be fully utilized to benefit the owners. A hands-on demonstration of basic maintenance tips and simple visual self-checks was also conducted by trained aftersales technicians.
The Volkswagen Cares programme is a free quarterly session and was developed to further enhance and boost ownership experience for Volkswagen customers. This programme is initiated and conducted by the participating Volkswagen dealers for their customers.
Mr Armin Keller, MD of Volkswagen Group Malaysia said, “Volkswagen Malaysia is proud to announce this initiative as we believe that by empowering our owners with the right knowledge, awareness and education paired with the brand’s effort, we will be able to enhance the overall ownership experience for our customers. This is a testament that our customers are our top priority.”
Also commenting on the Volkswagen Cares programme is Mr Goh Ngin Hong, Dealer Principal of Volkswagen Wearnes Sg Besi – “This is a great programme and we see this as a good opportunity for us to interact with our customers and share useful and general tips as well as elaborate on the many features available in their Volkswagen cars. We hope to continue this initiative and run more Volkswagen Cares sessions in the future for our customers.”
A Volkswagen Passat owner, En Zarilan Ahmad said, “It was a good and educational session which I find very useful. I will definitely encourage my friends who are Volkswagen owners to keep an eye out for this workshop”. Mr Pang Shio Hin, a Jetta owner added, “In order for the car to serve you, you too need to serve the car. It is a mutual and symbiotic relationship. This workshop is very educational and I learned new things which I never knew.”
