Improved 2015 Toyota Vios open for bookings
UMW Toyota Motor has announced that order-taking for an improved version of the Toyota Vios for its 2015 model has officially begun.
The company’s announcement released this week made no further elaboration on the improved model’s specifications beyond including a price list which we reproduce below:

As shown above, the same line-up of variants have been retained, but looking through the official specs sheet published on UMW Toyota Motor’s website, the most eye-catching update to us is perhaps the inclusion of the engine start/stop button for all variants right down to the J models.
Mechanical specifications remain unchanged, meaning the tried and tested 1NZ-FE 1.5-litre VVT-i engine continues its service up front paired with either a 5-speed manual that is optional in the 1.5J model or a 4-speed auto that is standard in all variants.
Equipment levels commensurately grow with price, but all variants are on par in terms of safety, with ABS, dual airbags, anti-whiplash front seats, and ISOFIX mounts fitted as standard. Electronic stability control remains absent.
