Mitsubishi ASX Designer Edition – limited to 180 units
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has joined forces with local designer Rizalman Ibrahim to produce a special-run ASX Designer Edition variant limited to just 180 units. Priced at RM135,515.30 with insurance, this one-off variant is available only as a 4WD model and finished exclusively in Titanium Grey exterior paint.
Mechanically identical to the regular ASX 4WD, the Designer Edition can be easily identified from the outside by its rugged design touches such as the 17-inch matte-finished alloy rims, matte grey body stripes running from the bonnet across the roof down to its rear hatch, dark chrome exhaust finish, and a larger rear spoiler with integrated LED third brake light. The regular model’s bee sting antenna has been taken out, replaced by a more aerodynamic shark-fin type.
Its interior is subject to a subtle makeover as well, dominated by a grey colour scheme that is subtly contrasted by yellow accents applied to the signature gear lever, leather upholstery, and floor mats. Adding to the enhancements are perforated leather applied to door panels and armrests along with high gloss panel finishes on the dashboard.
These exclusive design features on the ASX Designer Edition comes in addition to equipment already offered in the regular ASX 4WD, namely panoramic glass roof with ambient LED lighting, paddle shifters, smart keyless entry, push-start button, and security window film. Specially for the Designer Edition, the Multimedia Navigation head unit boots up with a customized start-up image.
