Nissan NV350 Urvan launched in Malaysia
Edaran Tan Chong Motor has ushered in the replacement model of its trusty Nissan Urvan in the form of the new Nissan NV350 Urvan, which debuts in Malaysia as a 14-seater high roof microbus fully imported from Japan.
Powered by the Navara’s 2.5-litre YD25DDTi turbodiesel engine, the NV350 comes standard with a 5-speed manual transmission sending power to its rear wheels. Compared to the predecessor’s 3.0-litre engine, the new 2.5-litre mill helps incur significant road tax savings, bringing it on par with the 2.5-litre Toyota Hiace, and lower than the 2.7-litre Kia Pregio.
Sporting a more expressive design than before, with touches such as three-dimensional chrome front grille and deep character lines along its side, the NV350 is also commendably well-equipped for a commercial vehicle. A 3.5-inch multi-info display resides in its instrument panel and safety-wise, it is equipped with ABS and brake assist.
On the road price of the new Nissan NV350 Urvan is set at RM109,800 with insurance in Peninsula Malaysia, with after sales covered by a 3-year / 100,000km warranty.
