Ferrari 458 Speciale A: Only 499 Units to be Built
Maranello, 25th September 2014 – Ferrari is do debut the 458 Speciale A at the Paris Motor Show 2014. This special edition will see only 499 units, and is likely to be a collector’s item in the future.
The 458 Speciale A is the most powerful spider in Ferrari’s history, offering extreme performance in a sports car with an aluminium retractable hard-top. The engine is the most powerful naturally V8 available to date, with an output of 605 horsepower and 540Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, enabling a zero to 100 km/h sprint time of just 3.0 seconds. Top speed is not stated, but one can expect something well above 300 km/h. Active front and rear aerodynamics, and a rigid chassis that incorporates 10 aluminium alloys, and Side Angle Slip Control (SSC) guarantees unparalleled sporty driving in all conditions.
As is the case with all Prancing Horse cars, the 458 Speciale A’s sculpted forms are absolutely performance-oriented. In fact, a series of innovative and original bodywork solutions has made the 458 Speciale A the most aerodynamically efficient Ferrari spider ever.
