Naza Bikes expands CKD range with new Naza N5
Naza Bikes Sdn Bhd has introduced a new addition to its range of locally-assembled rebadged motorcycles in the form of the new Naza N5, a 250cc sports bike developed in collaboration with South Korea’s KR Motors.
Positioned as an entry level bike into the 250cc segment, the N5 is targeted at 18 to 45-year-old buyers upgrading from 150cc motorcycles. Priced affordably at RM13,988 (OTR) for the first 500 customers, Naza Bikes aims to sell 300 units of these motorcycles each month.
Contrasting against the V-Twin 250i Naked, the other 250cc bike in Naza’s range, the N5 comes with a single cylinder four-valve DOHC engine fitted to a six-speed transmission. It is designed as a sporty street bike with emphasis on light weight and ease of maneuverability in urban riding conditions.
Cooled by liquid and equipped with fuel injection, the N5’s single-cylinder generates 28.4hp of power at 8,500rpm and twists out 26.1Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. Its steel tubular chassis features a trellis perimeter main frame integrated with an assembly sub frame. Braking is provided by a 300mm disc up front with four-pot caliper and a smaller rear 230mm disc clamped by a 2-pot caliper.
