KLIMS13 lucky draw winners collect prizes
Two lucky winners of the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2013 (KLIMS13) Visitors’ Grand Lucky Draw collected their prizes of a brand new car each at a prize giving ceremony held at the Putra World Trade Centre yesterday. The duo was among 302,715 visitors who visited the motor show that was held from 15 to 24 November last year at the same venue.
The two lucky winners are Lee Min Foong and Poopaladurai A/L Selvadurai who won themselves a unit of the Toyota Prius and Honda CR-Z respectively. Their names were drawn by President of the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) Datuk Aishah Ahmad during the KLIMS13 Gala Dinner on 29 November 2013 at the InterContinental Hotel in the presence of exhibitors and guests from the press.
Recalling the moment that he was contacted by the organizers of his win, Lee said, “When I was informed by the organizer that I have won the car, I could not believe it until I saw the announcement of KLIMS13 Facebook. This is my second time visiting KLIMS and winning a car this time round is a windfall.”
Each edition of KLIMS typically offer visitors the opportunity to win a brand new car, with 2013 being the first time two vehicles were offered. In line with the motor show’s theme of ‘Efficiency in Motion’, the two cars are accordingly hybrid models, and were sponsored by UMW Toyota Motor and Honda Malaysia.
Speaking at the prize giving ceremony yesterday, Datuk Aishah said, “As organizer of Malaysia’s motor show, MAA endeavours to deliver a prolific platform for the auto industry players to excite the market with their technological advancement and their latest as well as up-and-coming product range. We are grateful to UMW Toyota Motor and Honda Malyasia who have enlivened the thrill of visiting KLIMS13 by giving visitors a chance to drive home their iconic hybrids.”
Some 6,000 Maybank customers who visit the show were entered into an exclusive lucky draw for a Volkswagen Beetle 2.0 TSI, which was won by En Syed Ahmad bin Mohamed Ghani, who collected his prize two weeks ago at a separate event hosted by Volkswagen Group Malaysia and Maybank.
