Perodua offers RM1,000 rebate for disabled buyers

by -

Disabled persons buying Perodua vehicles in the future are automatically entitled to a rebate of RM1,000 for all models and applicable on top of any on-going promotions.

“This means if we are running a promotion featuring a RM2,000 discount, a disabled person is entitled to an additional RM1,000 rebate on top of what is being offered,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said.

The disabled scheme, which is officially known as the Perodua Special Scheme was launched on 1 Feb and will remain valid until 31 Dec 2014 and is specially designated to support the Government’s decision to offer 100% exemption from the excise duty on a national car purchased by the disabled as tabled in the 2011 National Budget.

To be eligible for this rebate, customers need to fill up the necessary documents (available at any of Perodua’s sales centres) before submitting to the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) for approval.
