GWM Wingle 5 enhanced with Premium X variant
The pick-up truck of Great Wall Motors, the Wingle 5, has been refreshed with a new trim level dubbed the Premium X offered in both 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrains. Powered by the same 2.5-litre turbodiesel engine as before, the new Wingle 5 Premium X adds new equipment for price premiums of RM7,000 and RM9,500 over the regular 4×2 and 4×4 variants respectively.
Between each other, the 4×2 and 4×4 variants both sport the same level of equipment and features, both powered by the same 2,499cc turbodiesel mill producing a not too shabby 107hp @ 3,600rpm and 300Nm @ 1,800 – 2,400rpm. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard, and the 4×4 variant gets an electronically-switchable 4WD system.
Standard equipment on the Wingle 5 includes ABS, EBD, dual airbags, power steering, power windows, electric side mirror, leather seats, adjustable headlights, immobilizer, and reverse sensor. The Premium X Accessories package adds a rear roll bar, door visor, GPS touchscreen system, Hella 1000 spot lights, reverse camera, and all-terrain tyres.
From its original prices of RM61,924.30 and RM70,924.40 with insurance for the 4×2 and 4×4 models respectively, the new Premium X 4×2 and 4×4 variants go for RM68,924.40 and RM80,499.00 respectively.
