ETCM wins 2013 Nissan Global Award
Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM) has received the 2013 Nissan Global Award from its principals Nissan Motor Co., Ltd for the fourth consecutive year since 2010. Previously known as the Nissan Champion Distributor award, the award recognizes the best performing Nissan distributors in the world.
Carlos Ghosn, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. said of ETCM’s winning of the award, “The Nissan Global Award is proof of your team’s hard work and dedication to superior performance. Despite the challenges facing our industry and despite competing with more than 130 National Sales Companies (NSC), you have achieved outstanding sales, growth and profitability”.
In a separate note, Mr Takao Katagari, Executive Vice President of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. commented that ETCM is the winner in Group B markets (whose TIV size is above 100,000 vehicles) of the 2013 Nissan Global Award. ETCM, Nissan’s distributor in Malaysia since 1957, has delivered the best over-achievement of its business plan in new car sales and customer satisfaction with one of the biggest increases in market share from the previous year.
