Ford Focus ST track thrills for 60 Malaysians
Earlier this month, we helped Sime Darby Auto Connexion blast out an Electronic Direct Mailer (EDM) to our database of members announcing an exclusive test drive session of the Ford Focus ST in the Elite Speedway circuit in USJ, Subang.
The response to that mailer was overwhelming, and we understand that SDAC’s email servers were inundated with hundreds of emails jostling for 60 available slots. Apparently, the 60 slots were completely taken up within only five minutes after the EDM left our servers.
One of the sixty lucky people on the track that day was Ashok Kumar Nambiar, a senior regional sales director for an international IT and communications company, who recalled the experience saying, “The opportunity to drive the all-new Focus ST was truly an unforgettable experience.”
The current generation Focus ST is Ford’s first global performance model, being sold in significantly more markets than its predecessor. It is powered by a high-output 247hp version of Ford’s 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
