Mitsubishi Pajero Sport VGT Euro launches with limited 250 units
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has officially launched a limited 250-unit edition of its Pajero Sport SUV dubbed the Pajero Sport VGT Euro. Available exclusively in White Pearl or Black Mica paint, the VGT Euro is priced at RM187,000.00 on-the-road with insurance, up from RM175,997.10 of the regular Pajero Sport VGT. The other variant of the Pajero Sport range is the RWD GL model at RM152,517.10.
Besides exclusivity, the limited Euro model’s price premium of over RM11k also adds a front airdam, sunroof, 8-way power-adjusting drivers seat, and a new aerodynamic bodykit. Perhaps the most noteworthy addition to the Pajero Sport Euro’s kit count is the availability of six airbags as opposed to two offered by the regular model. Items carried over from the regular VGT variant include magnesium paddle shifters, auto headlights, auto wipers, auto climate control, and a multimedia touchscreen system featuring GPS, reverse camera, iPod, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Moving gear is unchanged from the regular VGT, with Mitsubishi’s proven 2.5-litre turbodiesel sitting up front supplying outputs of 176hp and 350Nm through a 5-speed automatic transmission. Equipped with disc brakes and coil springs all round, the Pajero Sport is quite easily one of the best handling ladder frame-based SUVs which we recall testing. It comes equipped with Mitsubishi’s Super Select 4WD system fitted with a viscous coupling that enables on-tarmac usage of 4WD mode.
For after sales, Mitsubishi offers the new Pajero Sport VGT Euro with a 2-year free maintenance package further enhanced by a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty.
