Order books open for all-new 2013 Lexus IS
UMW Toyota Motor has officially opened order taking for the all-new Lexus IS, which is slated for launch later this month with four variants for consumers to choose from, according to an official company release which unveiled the model line-up, estimated prices, and colour choices for both interior and exterior.
Four variants are available for consumers to choose from, beginning with the IS 250 at RM277k with insurance. Moving up are two higher end derivatives of the 250, namely the Luxury and F Sport, priced at RM308k and RM342k respectively. The RM393k IS 300h completes the line-up.
The company’s release is silent on detailed specifications, but based on official overseas releases, we know the 250 retains the predecessor’s 2.5-litre V6 engine with direct injection technology. Meanwhile, the 300h features a hybrid powertrain driven by a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine related to the one found in the Toyota Camry.
