Nissan Almera Nismo Performance Package Concept previewed at Super GT
The Nissan Almera is not what we would describe as a car with sporting credentials, but that hasn’t stopped Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM) from offering the customer a plethora of options to pimp up their brand new Almeras. The existing Impul bodykits are already seeing a very high take up rate, and later this year, customers who want their Almera with a sporty flavour will have something new to consider.
Previewed during the Super GT weekend at Sepang last Sunday was the Nissan Almera Nismo Performance Package Concept, which features aesthetic, suspension, and exhaust enhancements said to be inspired by Nissan Motorsports International’s race-proven technologies.
Visually, the Nismo package adds the usual complement of spoilers all round and 17″ alloy wheels. Handling is enhanced by a sports suspension setup and there’s even a Nismo Exhaust Muffler to create a sporty sound. ETCM’s press materials were notably silent on potential performance enhancements.

The previous ETCM-Nismo collaboration in 2005 had yielded a Nismo-enhanced Sentra and special edition Nismo bodykits for the X-Trail. Since then, ETCM has been offering Impul tuning kits for Nissan customers seeking to spice up their vehicles. To date, the Impul kits have been offered to the Almera, Sentra, Latio, Sylphy, Livina X-Gear, and Grand Livina.
