Ducati Malaysia is lining up a total of six new models to be launched this year, and first of that six was revealed at the Sepang International Circuit last week – the Ducati Monster 795 ABS. The 795 ABS is the latest upgrade to Ducati’s iconic naked bike that debuted back in 1993, and the introduction of anti-lock braking system coincides with the model’s 20th anniversary in production.

During those 20 years, Ducati sold over 250,000 Monsters worldwide, with some 900 units currently plying Malaysian streets. In 2011, Malaysia served as the venue for Ducati to globally debut the earlier non-ABS 795 variant, a model that was said to combine the 696’s user-friendliness with the sportier character of the 796. The new 795 ABS carries over the existing 803cc L-twin Desmodue engine offering 87hp and 78Nm of outputs. Its nett selling price is RM66,888.

In conjunction with the 795 ABS’ launch and also the Chinese New Year festive period, Ducati Malaysia is offering a special Chinese New Year financing package with a low interest rate from 1.99% for up to 7 years.

Looking forward, Ducati Malaysia will be introducing a total of 6 new models this year. Expansion nationwide is planned for 2013 as Next Bike aims to have Ducati 3S showrooms throughout the North, South, East coast, Sabah and Sarawak – with 2 or 3 Ducati centres up and running within the first half of the year.
