Proton Prevé arrives in Brunei
The Proton Prevé continues to roll out to the export markets, and Brunei has become the latest country after Australia and Thailand to receive Proton’s all-new global sedan, becoming the fourteenth Proton model launched in the Sultanate. Since making its Malaysian domestic debut in April 2012, the Prevé has since been showcased at the Australian International Motorshow 2012 and the 2012 Thailand International Motor Expo.
“We are very excited with the arrival of Prevé in Brunei. We have been waiting to introduce this model to our customers ever since it was launched in Malaysia in April 2012. From today, Bruneians will be able to purchase a new Proton model that has raised and set the bar for new generation of Proton cars in key aspects of safety, performance, comfort, build quality, technology, overall design and convenience,” said Proton Holdings Berhad Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Lukman bin Ibrahim.
Like in Malaysia, the Prevé is offered to the Brunei market with three variants. The entry-level Executive trim is powered by the naturally-aspirated Campro 1.6 engine paired to either a manual transmission or a CVT priced at BND$ 26,900 and BND$ 28,550 respectively. They are well stocked with safety features such as dual front airbags, side and curtain airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), and Brake Assist.
Above them sits the BND$ 32,650 Premium variant, which gets the more powerful turbocharged 1.6-lite CFE engine paired exclusively with a CVT. This variant gets features like smart info display (SID), steering mounted paddle shifters, as well as satellite navigation, auto headlights, rain sensing wipers, cruise control, reverse sensors, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity, engine push start button, stability control, and traction control.
Six colour choices are available for the Prevé: Blue Lagoon, Tranquility Black, Solid White, Fire Red, Elegant Brown and Genetic Silver. Proton is also offering a five year or 150,000km (whichever comes first) warranty for the Prevé.
