Petronas wraps up ‘Switch for Xtra’ campaign

Petronas Dagangan Bhd (PDB) recently wrapped up its five-month nationwide ‘Switch for Xtra’ campaign promoting its Petronas Primax 95 Xtra fuel with a two-day road show at 1 Utama entertaining visitors with activities and prizes.

Through the road show, almost 750 participants had the opportunity to have a close-up look on Petronas’ experience in motorsports through Formula 1 and how knowledge developed through the company’s involvement in racing gets transferred to fuels, lubricants, and fluids sold to consumers.

Speaking on the ‘Switch for Xtra’ Campaign, Akbar Md Thayoob, Senior General Manager of PDB’s Retail Business Division said, “The Campaign is ultimately a platform for Petronas Dagangan Berhad to share the benefits of Petronas Primax 95 Xtra with our customers. Afterall, the fuel was developed with them in mind, in line with our brand promise of going All The Way to deliver more value-for-money products for our customers.”

“Through this Campaign, we also aim to share with them the importance of knowing about fuels. On our end, we have shared the knowledge gained from our partnership with F1 and how we have transferred the F1 technology to the road for our customers. This is important for them to understand and appreciate the fuel that goes into their vehicles,” he added.

Similar road shows were organized earlier in the campaign at Berjaya Times Square in KL, Queensbay Mall in Penang, and Ipoh Parade in Perak. At the road shows, visitors got to play various interactive games such as F1 Simulator, Xtra Dirt Punch, Xtra Distance, Xtra Savings, Xtra Performance, and Xtra Trivial Wall. Prizes in the form of Mesra points and other merchandises were on offer.
