Toyota Classics 2012 to feature Vienna Chamber Orchestra

The Toyota Classics 2012 will play for the 21st consecutive year on 8 November 2012 featuring the Vienna Chamber Orchestra led by Joji Hattori featuring soloist Soiichi Muraji on the classical guitar. A selection of classical pieces including Fledermaus Overture by J. Strauss will be performed, as well as a special interpretation of Malaysian classics from P. Ramlee including his evergreen song, Dirgahayu.

The event will once again be held at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas at KLCC, and the aim this year is to raise RM300,000 for the benefit of the Malaysia Japan International Institute of Technology and the Persatuan Pemulihan Orang-orang Cacat Selangor & Wilayah Persekutuan.

According to UMW Toyota Motor, the Toyota Classics CSR programme has raised more than RM 6 million from ticket sales and corporate donations over the past 20 years that have been channelled to charitable organisations and Non- Governmental Organisations.

Tickets are priced at RM220, RM170, RM120 and RM60, and can be purchased from Box Office, Dewan Filharmonik Petronas or online at www.toyota.com.my.
