Hap Seng Star Sdn Bhd, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Vietnam Star, has recently opened an all-new Mercedes-Benz Autohaus in District 7 of Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City.

At the showroom’s opening event, Datuk Edward Lee Ming Foo, Group Managing Director of Hap Seng Consolidated Berhad, expressed his company’s long term commitment to Vietnam, saying, “Vietnam is a fast growing country and we are confident in the economic development. We see great potential in the development of the luxury segment in the short to mid term.”

The new dealership, the Mercedes-Benz Brand Gallery, was built at a cost of US$5 million and is ranked as a flagship Autohaus 600 according to the global standards of Daimler A.G, owner of the Mercedes-Benz marque. The three-storey building has 4,400m2 of floor space, able to accommodate 20 cars at a time in its showroom. There is a specially dedicated centre for AMG on the 2nd level, and its service centre has a daily capacity of 20 cars.

Mr. Peter Alexander Trettin, President & CEO of Daimler Central/Eastern Europe Africa & Asia said, “The new Autohaus of Vietnam Star has made itself proudly a Mercedes-Benz Brand Gallery in Vietnam. It is another strong example proving our long-term commitment to customers.”

In addition to the usual amenities such as a cafe lounge and children play area, the Brand Gallery is designed to host client or internal events with capacity ranging from 500 to 800 guests.
