Business Owner Named Final ‘BonusLink Millionaire’

Shell Malaysia and BonusKad Loyalty concluded its third and final Bumper Draw for the “31 Million BonusLink Points to be Won Weekly” contest at the 1st Avenue Mall Penang last week. At the event, Mr Joseph Lim Cheng Lock from Penang was named the final “BonusLink Millionaire” after winning a series of challenges.

A combination of grand and consolation prize winners competed in a series of games. The first round put contestants’ aiming skill to the test in the BonusLink “Shoot ‘Em” Game while their agility in maneuvering a miniature bike on a track was tested in the Shell V-Power Challenge. The top three scorers then proceeded to the grand finale where their knowledge of Shell and BonusLink was tested in the “Wheel of Bonus” round. Joseph scored the highest and emerged champion of the final Bumper Draw.

As an additional treat for the winners, BonusLink revealed an exclusive lifestyle redemption catalogue with gifts specially chosen for the contest’s winners. The catalogue includes items from three lifestyle themes i.e. stylish home, travel and outdoors.

The contest which ran from 16 November 2011 to 15 February 2012 saw millions of participation for the “31 Million BonusLink Points to be Won Weekly” contest. Participants simply needed to spend a minimum of RM30 at any Shell petrol station nationwide and swipe their BonusLink Cards. If they swiped at another BonusLink Partner, they stand a chance to double up their winnings.

The contest produced a grand total of 13 weekly winners who walked away with One Million BonusLink Points each, and 13,000 consolation prize winners. In addition to these 13,013 winners, two series of Bumper Draws took place in Kuala Lumpur and Batu Pahat respectively where two consolation winners emerged champion and walked away with an additional one million BonusLink Points on top of their consolation win.

Currently, Shell is running the “Shell Pays Your Utility Bills” contest. From 16 February to 25 April 2012, the 10-week nationwide contest will see lucky winners walk away with Grand Prizes of RM20, 000 cash every week.
