Indian Motorcycle arrives in Malaysia

Harmony Fabulous Sdn Bhd, a company under Naza World, has announced the arrival of Indian Motorcycle in Malaysia and Singapore. The launch took place at the Bikepalooza 2011 carnival held last weekend in Shah Alam. Despite its name, Indian Motorcycle is not a brand of south Asian origins. Rather, it was founded in the US in 1901, and it is now the oldest motorcycle brand of that country. It pioneered the V-twin motorcycle engine configuration in 1907.

Four models mark the brand’s arrival in Malaysia and Singapore, namely the Chief Blackhawk and its special edition sibling Chief Blackhawk Dark, along with Chief Vintage, Chief Classic, and Chief Dark Horse. All models come with various factory fitted accessories.

Originally manufactured under the corporate banner Hendee Manufacturing Company, the organization was later reincorporated to become Indian Motocycle Company ((ed: No typo). The brand has had a tumultuous history since, and today, it is based in King’s Mountain, North Carolina, having been resurrected by Stephen Julius and Steve Heese in 2004.

Another development at the Bikepalooza carnival was the announcement of Naza World as the official distributor of Two Brother’s Racing, a company specializing in after-market exhaust system and high performance motorcycle accessories.
