In 2012, the Chinese zodiac cycle will enter the Year of the Dragon. As we all know, the dragon is a revered creature of Chinese folklore, and the Chinese happen to be a pretty big market these days – especially for the very expensive cars.

The folks at Rolls-Royce are well aware of this, and they have come up what is called the Year of the Dragon collection, created by the company’s Bespoke Team. Cars that receive the Dragon treatment will have the following touches:

Dragon Coachline - This feature puts a forward-looking dragon hand-painted in Gold colour running along the flanks of a Phantom or Phantom Extended Wheelbase.

Dragon Headrest Embroidery - At every headrest is a hand embroidered dragon made using a combination of four different colours – Tan, Golden Sand, Black, and White. The colour combo is designed to complement of recommended leather options, and the design can be finished with additional seat piping.

Dragon Phantom Passenger Panel Inlay - At the passenger panel will be a hand laid dragon inlay complete with the Phantom name applied in gold. Oh boy…

Embroidered Cushions with R-R Logo and Piping - Rear passengers get two hand stitched cushions with embroidered contrast double RR logos and piping.

Illuminated Treadplates - The four door sills will feature exclusive red, illuminated treadplates with Year of the Dragon 2012 highlighted with LED lighting.

Celebratory Marquetry Selection - A choice of either modern or traditional marquetry to match the veneer choice of customers.
