Nissan Grand Livina receives minor updates for 2011

Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM) today introduced minor enhancements to their popular Nissan Grand Livina mini-MPV. The new model is distinguished from its predecessor by a new front grille design, finished in smoke plating for the 1.6-litre models and full chrome for the 1.8. It also gets LED signal lights mounted on the side-mirrors.

“Since its introduction in December 2007, the Grand Livina has become one of the most popular MPVs in Malaysia, with over 43,300 units on the road. We intend to further expand its popularity with this facelift version,” said Dato’ Dr Ang Bon Beng, Executive Director of ETCM.

Stepping inside, passengers are now given a sportier black interior replacing the previously-used beige, and the instruments are now white-faced. The 1.8-litre variant’s audio head-unit now accepts aux inputs for portable audio devices.

No changes have been made under the skin, as the all-aluminium four-cylinder petrol engines shared with the Latio are retained in unchanged states. The 1.6-litre version, available in manual and automatic transmission, is powered by the 103hp / 150Nm HR16DE motor, whilst the 1.8 gets the thrifty MR18DE rated at 125hp and 174Nm.

There are slight price increases for all three variants, as indicated below:

As per ETCM’s standard with all Nissan models, the Grand Livina is sold with a 3-year / 100,000km warranty.
