Honda Malaysia introduces updated Jazz
Honda Malaysia today announced the availability of an updated version of the Jazz for our market. Enhancements received by Honda’s little five-door hatch, which has sold 3.7 million units globally, include revised styling touches, improved equipment and a new colour.
A key update on the Jazz which should please the safety conscious would be Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), now offered as a standard safety feature alongside dual airbags and ABS. Furthermore, all three rear passenger seats have individual headrests and three-point seat belts.
External aesthetic changes come in the form of reworked front and rear bumpers, and a front grille with mesh design. The head and tail lights have similarly been revised for a sportier appearance. A new option, Brilliant Orange Metallic, has also been added to colour palette alongside Polished Metal Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, and Brilliant White Pearl.
Inside, the already well-designed cabin receives a new colour scheme, featuring a blue and black combo for upholstery mated with all-amber colouring for the instrument lighting. Based on customer feedback, Honda has also revised the door locking knob, opening sound indicator for the fuel lid and an orange market on the air-con control, further improving user-friendliness.
In the engine room, Honda continues to use the existing 1.5-litre single-cam i-VTEC engine paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission. Tuned to Euro IV emission standards, the engine is rated to produce 118hp @ 6,600rpm and 145Nm @ 4,800rpm.
