BMW Malaysian Open 2011 confirms player lineup
Tennis fans going to watch the upcoming BMW Malaysian Open 2011 to be held at the Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Club Resort from 28 February to 6 March 2011 can look forward to catch a number of notable players in action as announced recently by the organizers.
Alisa Kleybanova returns to defend her title, won on her first ever appearance in a WTA final, beating Elena Dementiava 6-3, 6-2 in last year’s final. Joining her is World No.4 Francesca Shiavone, who is also the reigning French Open and Barcelona champion.

Another player to look out for is French No.1 Marion Bartoli, who has under her belt eight WTA titles – five singles and three doubles. She has a habit of defeating World No.1 players, and her list of scalps include Justine Henin, Jelena Jankovic, Venus Williams, Ana Ivanovic, Lindsay Davenport and Arantxa Sanchez Vicario.

Speaking of World No.1 players, spectators will get to see former World No.1 Dinara Safina, younger sister of former male World No. 1 Marat Safin, in action as well. Other notable players in the list include rising star Shuai Peng, Indian No. 1 Sania Mirza, Kimiko Date Krumm, Jelena Dokic, Lucia Safarova, Jarmila Groth, Ayumi Morita, Tamarine Tanasugarn, Magdalena Rybarikova, and Chang Kai-Chen.
